What's covered

Functional failure under normal use. Every drive and component we sell passes in-house health, performance, and reliability testing before it ships. Coverage runs for the warranty period stated on your sales order or invoice. Where no period is stated, coverage is 30 days. Every warranty period begins on the invoice date, and a replacement continues the original period rather than restarting it.

What's not covered

• Physical damage after delivery, including mishandling and ESD damage
• Altered, reflashed, or non-standard firmware
• Removed or defaced serial and grade labels
• Normal wear consistent with the published grade — power-on hours are disclosed, not a defect

Dead on arrival

If a unit arrives non-functional, tell the desk and it moves to the front of the line for replacement. A dead unit is a warranty claim, so the window that applies is the warranty period itself.

Shipping damage is different. If the carton arrives crushed, torn, or dented, report it within 3 business days of delivery and keep all the original packaging until the claim is settled. The carrier may need to inspect it, and the claim cannot be processed without it.

How to start an RMA

Call (866) 331-3021 or use the contact page with your order number and the serial numbers involved. The desk issues an RMA number and return instructions — an RMA number is required before anything ships back.

Replacement first

Confirmed warranty failures are replaced like-for-like or better from live inventory — that's the point of holding stock. Where replacement isn't possible, we refund.

Return shipping

We cover return shipping on confirmed warranty failures. Ship in anti-static packaging — if it arrived in ours, reuse it.
